WHO IS OKEFENOKEE JOE?
Recently dubbed "a Living Georgia Icon¨ in a book written by Don Rhodes of the Augusta Chronicle, Georgia Public TV's legendary folk hero OKEFENOKEE JOE has enthralled and enlightened audiences of all ages for four decades with his Emmy Award winning "Swamp Wisdom", Original Songs & Stories from The Land Of The Tremblin Earth, Plant and Animal Lore, and Wilderness Survival Skills.  He has appeared on NBC, CNN, TBS, PBS, GPB, as a guest on many Outdoor TV shows, and was featured in the center of the front page of the Wall Street Journal.

Joe's recording on Cowhouse Island Records of This Night of Peace, went all the way to #1 in The 2011 Cashbox Magazine Christmas Song Chart, #3 in the Easy Listening Chart, and # 40 in the Country Song Chart.  His new release, A Little Bit of Sunday Every Day, is climbing the Country Gospel Chart in Christian Voice Magazine right now, (October, 2012)!
